This magnificent baroque building from 1729 – 1736 was built according to the project of J.J. Aichbauer. The fire of the town destroyed the typical baroque feathery form of roofs in 1838. At that time the cathedral ship was quickly covered by an ordinary gable roof and the tower was covered by a broach roof. In 1994 the castle went through a total reconstruction. Valuable interior, homogenous in style: Gothic Virgin Mary from the beginning of the 13th century, pewter baptismal font from 1545. Magnificent Calvary, pulpit, Angels Torch-Bearers and a relief depicting the murder of St. Jan Nepomucký from the second quarter of the 18th century. The Baroque organ from 1788 takes advantage of acoustics of the ship; it is a work of an organ-maker from Králíky. The picture “Torturing to death of Saint Vavřinec” above the altar was painted by Dominik Kinderman. Further decoration of the church was made by carver and sculptor Jan Sucharda.
